In this installment of Spider-Man, Peter Parker (Tobey Maquire)
wanted to propose to Mary Jane Watson (Kirsten Dunst). Meanwhile
Harry Osborn (James Franco) wanted to kill Peter because he thought
that Spider-Man killed his father. At the same time, Peter found
out the it was Flint Marko (Thomas Haden Church), who later turned
into Sandman, was the person who actually killed Peter' Uncle Ben
(Cliff Robertson). Peter was later influenced by some extra-terrestrial
block solid/liquid material which made him arrogant and his Spider-Man
suit turn block. Eddie Brock (Topher Grace), who was fired by Jonah
Jameson (J. K. Simmons) turned into Venom. Sandman and Venom joined
hands to kill Spider-Man, and got Mary Jane as hostage. Peter asked
Harry to help him to save Mary Jane, despite their differences…
It is very hard to find a sequel that is better than the former
episodes. In the Spider-Man series, the third episode tops both
the first 2. The film is an excitement from the beginning to the
end. The story started with continuing the story line of the second
episode, and does not seem a bit to be written later than the release
of the previous 2 episodes as the progression is so smooth. Despite
being a commercial product for making billions of dollars, the film
is good by itself.
Tobey Maquire has some interesting performance which makes both
the characters Peter and Spider-Man much more colorful. Other actors'
performances are also good.
The film talks about forgiveness and anger. The messages are a
little bit subtle. If you know the fate of Sandman and Venom, you
will know what the writers are trying to say, though.
In short, a brilliant sequel and an excitement for all of us. Good
film!
