有誰比人史泰龍更熟識洛奇這個人？在此條件下，洛奇的行為即等於史泰龍本人所追尋的。去到第五集，洛奇亦已步入晚年。不甘心平淡的他，於一次無意的誘惑下，以花甲之年與比他年輕一半的拳手作賽。正所謂輸少當羸，能夠奮戰至最後一個回合已是奇蹟，就像史泰龍本人，鬥心仍在，體力不支．

觀眾在此片所渴望看見的，當然是其訓練過程與拼過你死我活的比賽。史泰龍絕對知道此點。奈何身體機能之不配，在故事末段來一場世紀之戰，算是最精彩的一幕，其他時間以文戲為主，交代之前幾集的人和事。說教性的對白佔大數，對觀眾而言是此片種的一個大忌。此片亦像秉承第一集的作風，刀仔鋸大樹在。輸少當羸的觀念下，請為史泰龍喝采。
