Well, the title is spelt correctly. "Happyness" was written on the wall of the child-care center that Christopher (Jaden Smith), son of the famous "from-rags-to-riches" stock broker Chris Gardner (Will Smith). In the story, at first Chris was a salesman of some expensive medical equipment and earned not enough money to support his family. One day, he found out that he might have a chance to get rich by being a stock broker, and he applied for an internship in Dean Witter. He just had a divorce with his wife Linda (Thandie Newton) and he had no money. He was detained for not paying up his parking tickets the nigh before the interview. Somehow, he managed to get the internship without a suit. However, because there were no salaries for the internship, he became homeless. For a period of 6 months, he lived way below the line of poverty. However, he worked hard and smart, but the company will only hired a few from a large pool of interns…

The story is based on the experience of the real person Chris Gardner. I happened to see the story of Gardner on a news program and learned something about his life. The story is really motivating, suggesting that no matter where you start, if you have the talent and persistence, then you can succeed (maybe with a little bit of luck, too).

There is no doubt about the acting of Will Smith. He opposited his son Jaden in the film, who did a very good job for the character of Christopher who is also a real-life character.

On the whole, it is an interesting film to watch, for everybody.
