《變種特攻》是一套反常規的電影系列。除了《星戰》系列，大部份電影的續集，第三集都是一蟹不如一蟹。但《變種特攻》則一集比一集好看。異能人的技能意念越來越多、越來越激。今集甚至玩到將金門大橋成條托起，令觀眾大叫過癮。要評此片的演員表現是多餘的，根本成套戲都是電腦特技掛帥而且特技得有紋有路，不像星戰或Matrix三集般有理無理亂出一餐。

片名雖然是"Last Stand"，但結尾又例牌有伏線，今次仲要在片末出哂roller後先做，X-men粉絲記得死守到最後一刻。
