《木偶迷城》片內全是木偶做主角，是創意、是過時則見人見智。片中首幕已出現滂沱大雨場面，這新穎意念倒引人入勝。全片以陰暗色彩為主，切合木偶一生被線牽綁的宿命。此片雖然為一套木偶劇，但基本上並不是兒童電影，小孩嚷著離開的機會相當高。既然故事以成人為對象，情節便應較為豐富，但簡單的復仇故事，有點兩頭不到岸。木偶不像其他電腦合成特技人物般會張口說話，所以配音員在此片都肩負重任。這批綠葉及片中配樂都為此片生色不少。
失望是電影完結後沒有拍攝花絮，其可觀性應該與電影本身不相伯仲。
