The story of the film is an interesting one. Stephane (Gael Garcia Bernal) sleepwalked a lot and in many occasions he could not distinguish what was in his dreams and what happened while he was sleepwalking. He was from Mexico and he came to France because his French mother lied to him that she had found a creative job for him, but in fact the job is more like typesetting. He met Stephanie (Charlotte Gainsbourg) who lived next door and they began to fall in love. A lot of interesting things happened in their relationship because of his sleepwalking/dreams.

The story is hilarious from the beginning to the end. The progression of the story is a little bit difficult to follow. It is not a surprise considering that the character Stephane himself is confused about dreams and reality. It is a film for some fun.
