此片可看作為西片版歡樂今宵的告別夜。全片著重對白的內容，刻劃一群共事良久的同事在離別的一刻百感交雜。當中有拼過你死我活的，有姊妹情深的，有曖昧關係的。但這一切，在落幕後又只會變為一絲回憶。此片有如你我在公司幹活的一面鏡，多少的勾心鬥角，關係計算，在離開後，一切恩怨瞬間化為笑談。人生在世，何必為生命旅程中片刻的不快，在心中留下烙印？

此片對象應為年過50的美國人，既不是美國人又有排都未成為目標群的我，對片中所提及的人和事難有共鳴（偏偏此點在片中佔有頗重比例），情況有如我不明白阿媽為何對寶珠姐那樣瘋狂，阿媽亦不明3字頭的我為何對軟硬那樣祟拜。人人心中都有自己珍愛的年代與回憶。所以此片能吸引多位重量級明星主演，重量級導演執導，因投資者明白，地球的每一角落都會找到懂得細味此片的知音者。
