The story does not carry message that I can notice. It looks like the filmmakers were trying
To produce a film that is just plain fun. In this respect, the filmmakers did a pretty good job. The story is entertaining and mildly horrifying, which means it is suitable for all ages. The end of the story is really a "Hollywood ending", and with a film of this type the ending is quite predictable but desirable.

The filming of Monster House uses motion capture technology to record the motions of the actors and render the characters in animations. As a result, the actions of the characters are much more natural than those of many other animation films. This makes the film easier on the eyes.

In sum, it is entertaining and is fun to watch.

When you watch the film, do remember to stay till the lights are on because there is additional footage about the ending halfway through the displaying of the credit.
