Tilo (Aishwarya Rai) was born with the power to know the future. That cost her to be an orphan. Eventually, she was raised by a trainer of mistresses of spices and was trained to be such. When she grew up, she was sent to the San Francisco Bay Area to help people by using spices to change people's luck. She was not allowed to leave the spice parlor and was not allowed to love, though. One day, Doug (Dylan McDermott) was outside her parlor and she immediately felt for him. Suddenly, a forbidden love began to grow…

What can I say about the story? Well, when you see in the story that the protagonist asks spices to help her to solve problems, you would probably think that something is wrong. The behavior of Tilo, to me, has crossed the line. She was loyal to spices. Sounds strange, isn't it? It is true that based on how she was trained and her ability what she did was right, but I was not raised in a culture which appreciates spices in that way.

Kissing is forbidden in Bollywood. I wonder how much that is going to affect Indian beauty Aishwarya Rai in the hearts of the Indians. Dylan McDermott, after being in the successful TV series "The Practice" for 6 successful years, ends up in a film with a story of this kind. I guess he is probably too desperate for the silver screen. Anyway, the spotlight is on Aishwarya Rai.
