The film brings along a theme of harmony and cooperation in overcoming difficulties. The characters are portrayed in an ample degree of depth such that their acts and line of thinking in the story are reasonable and within the anticipation of the audience. The animals in the diegesis are presented with a 3 folded challenge: (1) the environment; (2) the two predator monsters; and (3) their internal conflicts. The 3 encounters are eventually overcome by their wisdom of restoring harmony and symbiotic support. The cutie subplot on Scrat in predating the nut serves a transition in the main plot. With the flood as the tagline, it also makes reference to the Bible. The film embraces a strong signifier that the role of the Falcons resembles that of the US as a sentinel against jeopardy and an order keeper in the political platform in the real world.
