此片的而且確適合於新年放映。其笑料豐富之餘又有發大財的橋段，可讓觀眾追夢。故事中段雖有少許偏離正道，但其積極面對人生的態度是我們面對逆境的正確方向。全片戲情緊湊，節奏快，像看港產片。

占基利保留一貫其成名作風。電影中他有不少他的個人攪笑表演，連帶女主角泰莉安妮亦表現生鬼。其他配角的遭遇也能營造出爆笑效果。

其實占基利拍擺《大話王》、《愛情黐筋Show》等寓意深長的電影後，筆者一直期望他朝這方面走。但可能名利與理想難以共存，唯有等他再賺多些，有財力自可立品，拍多些既富以娛樂性又發人深醒的電影。

此片最強烈信息：積穀防飢，勿集中投資，凡事三思而後行。
