The story of Eragon is very typical of its kind. The story features an innocent villager in the old times, living under the pressure of the tyranny king, suddenly got some magic ability and then went against the king, but what was supposed to be a surprise was actually foretold by prophets. Sounds familiar, doesn't it?
I feel that the most appealing side of the film is its visual effect. It is all about visual, visual, and visual. The dragons look very real despite, as you know, the dragons are computer generated. The background computer graphics are also excellent and fit with the foreground seamlessly. This should appeal a lot of viewers.
