The story of "Beyond the Sea" is about the life of Bobby Darin. It is sort of like a biography but with a lot of imagination put into the script. The film is also a musical, but Kevin Spacey pretty much sang all the songs in the film.

The film is quite entertaining with the songs and the story and how the story is told. The perspective to a great extent switches between Bobby Darin as a kid and Bobby Darin as an adult and back a few times. Acting is great although Kevin Spacey looks much older than the character. The film makes Bobby Darin, his friend and family members lovable characters. Kate Bosworth as Sandra Dee is exceptional.

In my opinion, the film is a good one to watch. I recommend this film.
