Valiant was a small dove which was barely big enough to be drafted into the military to fight for the UK against the Nazi Germany during WWII. With his courage, he and his fellow dove soldiers defeated the Germany eagles and helped the Britons to defeat Germany.

The animation is well done but the characters are not the most lovable ones because of their appearances. This story is about bravery, courage, and patriotism. It is a bit old-fashioned in that it brings the idea that you can contribute to your country and do great things even though you are not physically strong enough. Anyway, the story should fit the taste of kid all right.

The Cantonese version is dubbed by many talents who took part in a popular game show and the host of the show. Actually, the Cantonese dialog borrows a lot of ideas from the show, too. I do not see how this act would do much to the film itself except it can get more people to pay attention to the film, and I am tired by this towards the end of the film. Another problem with the Cantonese version is that the sound quality is not quite good, probably due to the dubbing equipment. With that, the enjoyment you can get from the film could have been better.

In sum, it is a well produced film (original English version). It is surely going to bring a lot of joy to your kids.
