The film is a documentary about Evelyn Glennie, a deaf musician who specializes in percussion instruments. Despite her inability to hear, she did not use a hearing aid when she played music. Instead, she felt the vibration from the instrument, which probably brought to her a different perspective about the music that she made. She also lives by her belief that although one may lose one sense (hearing in her case), but other senses and sixth sense would compensate for the lost sense. She did not think she was disabled, as a result.

The film features interviews of her and her jamming with another musician. Some scenes feature sounds that we normally consider noise, but they make us thing about what it is to have the sense of hearing.

If you are interested, you may go to the web site of Evelyn Glennie at http://www.evelyn.co.uk/ to understand more about the musician.
