"Three Times" consists of 3 stories. The first one is about the love story between a soldier and a snooker table attendant which happened in mid sixties, where the soldier traveled many places to look for the girl after she moved to another city. The second story is the romance between a maid and her master, where they worked together to foster the marriage of another maid who got pregnant, but at the same time they were indecisive about their own fate. The third one is about the triangular relationship among a heterosexual guy, a heterosexual girl, and a bisexual girl.

In each of the stories, Chen Zhang is the male protagonist while Qi Shu is the female protagonist. The first story was entertaining and touching. The persistence of the soldier was admirable. The second story was the least impressive one. You cannot hear the dialogs, but you can hear the singing. Dialogs are in titles. As a result, this section is quite boring. The third story is acceptable. It is more artsy than entertaining.

Obviously, it is not quite a film for intense entertainment. People who are more into the art side of films would find it more interesting.
