A group of high-school students were having their summer courses at school. Because all the school band members got food-poisoning, they were asked to learn to perform within a week. Instead of playing classical music, they chose to play jazz. Later, they were dismissed because the school band members recovered, but their love for playing jazz was only beginning to grow. They decided to form an all girl jazz band, plus a boy…

The story is quite lighthearted. The film is easy to watch. There is not much that you would want to think about while watching the film, except the similarities of this film with the director (Shinobu Yaguchi)'s previous film Waterboys (2001), if you have watch that film. In both films, a group of youngsters started to participate in something that was not usually for them, and then they fell in love with the activity. Of course, in both films, the youngster faced a lot of obstacles, and they finally did a perfect performance. And yes, both films end just there. Despite the similarities, I feel that this film is still worth the time to watch. The main characters are so lovable, and the humor in the film is great.

In sum, the film is a good light comedy that many people would love. Not a bad film to spend two hours on.
