The film is about a Palestinian family who lived too close to the Israelis in Israel. As a result of living too close to their "enemies", Israeli soldiers occupied part of their house to observe if any Palestinians were causing any troubles in the area, and they were confined to their living room at night. The story is inspired by real life events, where the family in real world lived with the "guest" different Israeli soldiers for 10 years. Not only does the film reflect the ridicule of the present Palestine-Israel relationship, but also, on the sidetrack, shows how an innocent Palestinian boy suddenly becomes a terrorist. In the film, it shows that Palestinians and Israelis talk to each other in English. I think this is part of the cause why the two tribes cannot live with each other. They do not even try to learn each others' culture. With the death Arafat in real life, may their problem be resolved in the near future.
