The cast and crew of this DV is absolutely an interesting combination. All three characters are family and the daughter, Jiayin Liu, is also the director, screenwriter, and cinematographer. How difficult it is for a girl to direct her father and mother!
The story is about a leather bag seller who took pride in selling his dream bags to customers. However, he was sick of giving discounts to customers just because everybody else was. His family was broke and there were a lot of minor conflicts among the family.
The film consists of 23 static shots. To some, this could be quite boring, and also limits the amount of contents that can be shown on the screen. I do think this is quite a trial, taking into consideration that Liu is the actress, director, cinematographer, and screenwriter.
