《擊情》於今屆奧斯卡奪得多個獎項，該是參選對手不濟有關。論事實，此片除了對白寫得出色之外，實在看不出有何過人之處。當選最佳女主角的希拉莉詩韻其貌不楊，若硬說她為求神似而苦後練牶擊3個月，請先練練手臂肌肉，段練不到亦應該以化妝搭夠。片中看得較為舒服的，是奇連伊士活及摩根費曼的演出。唯一意外是此非勵志片故事亦可配合奧斯卡評審的口胃，大概是美國人開始面對現實，失意的故事更能引起一般人的共鳴吧。
