Sam (Rory Culkin) was bullied at school by his classmate George (Josh Peck). Sam's brother Rocky (Trevor Morgan) wanted to take revenge, and so he invited George to the fake Sam's birthday trip and he planned to strip George in the wild and have him get back home naked. Sam's girlfriend Millie (Carly Schroeder), Clyde (Ryan Kelley), and Marty (Scott Mechlowicz) joined the trip. During the first half of the trip, the gang found that George was not really that bad, and one by one dropped the idea of taking revenge. However, George bullying character resurfaced after a game of truth and dare, and an accident happened… The gang had to opt to face reality or to run away.
The film reflects the world of school kids where there are bullies and the bullied, and explored the inside world of the bullies. George is first depicted as a villain. But when the trip started, he was a nice guy and gave Sam an expensive present. The idea is that the bullies bully because they feel empty inside. They are actually very weak inside when they appear to be strong on the outside. As a result, the anti-thesis is to build relationship with them and their bullying will stop. Ironically, these are the people who do not attract many friends. When they grow up, they are mostly as lonely as when they were young.
The film itself is well made. Although the actors are young, many of them are actually experienced. With the fact that the script is well written, the film is a very good one to watch.
