Film of the 29th Hong Kong International Film Festival

Melanie (Eva Loebau), equipped with her progressive teaching methods, began teaching in a high school in the middle of the school year. Soon it was proved that she could not control her classes. At the same time, her social life was not any better. The only friend outside school she had was a boutique owner Tina (Daniela Holtz) who happened to live in the same complex as she. Unfortunately, Tina liked to be with other friends like Bine (Nina Fiedler) despite Melanie tried to do favors for Tina. Melanie's life was almost a disaster.

The film does not try to convey any strong message, but keep focusing on describing the lonely life of Melanie in the new environment, away from his friends and family. Her misfortune was not unpredictable with his mediocre social skills, although I do not agree with how Tina treated Melanie, either. Perhaps with Melanie's experience, we can formulate our own strategy in our social lives which better adapts to the coldness of modern friendships.
