Takumi (Shidou Nakamura) just lost his wife Mio (Yuko Takeuchi) and lived alone with his son Yuji (Akashi Takei). Before her death, Mio promised that she would come back during the rainy season. One day, Takumi and Yuji, while searching for something in the woods, saw Mio there. Mio seems to have lost her memory, but accepted the father and son as family. Mio began to learn about the family, how Takumi and she started their courtship, among other things. She then learned that she would disappear when the rainy season was over. Actually, she learned why she was there. In the end, the film revealed what actually happened.

The plot is absolutely very surprising in the end and very entertaining on the whole. Also, when the plot is finally revealed in the end, every detail in the film makes sense. It is not just about the plot, however. The progression of the film is very emotional and touching. Strong emphases were put on Takumi's love towards Mio, which touches the heart of whoever watches the film. The decision made by Mio, as revealed at the end of the film, was also admirable and emotional. Of course, the love of Yuji towards his mother was also touching.

In sum, this is a very good film to watch.
