Ronald Defeo (Brendan Donaldson) heard a calling and killed his whole family after living in a house in Amityville for 28 days. Later, the house was sold the George Lutz (Ryan Reynolds) and his wife Kathy (Melissa George). They moved in and a lot of strange things happened. On day 28, Kathy found out what was wrong with the house, while George was trying to kill the whole family. Can the family survive?

The film is said to be based on the true story. However, I feel that perhaps only the first 5 minutes was about the truth (I may be wrong, though). No matter what, the film is entertaining to watch. It was thriller after thriller in the 90 minutes of the film. Acting was appropriate. Particularly, the Lutzs' daughter Chelsea was played well by Chloe Moretz. Make-up was excellent, too.

In sum, the film is well produced and good to watch. Period.
