One year ago, the undefeated Inspector Wing (Jackie Chan) had his whole team killed by a team of bank robbers including Joe (Daniel Wu), who hated cops. One of his team members was his girlfriend Ho Yee (Charlie Yeung)'s brother. Because of his sense of guilt, he had been on leave since then. Now Frank (Nicolas Tse), claiming to be a brother of one of the killed cop, teamed up with Wing to investigate the crime again. The police learned from an online game developed by the robbers that the robbers were going to rob another bank and were ready to kill more cops. Wing and Frank decided to try their best to stop the crime...
Though very entertaining, there are a bunch of serious flaws in the film. For one thing, the characters do what they do without good reasons. Like the escape from the jail of Wing and Frank, there are no reasons why many of the cops pretended they did not see the escape. Second, Jackie Chan again pushed what he believes the audience likes to see to the audience, without considering that we do not want to see his same old ideas used in the other films any more. For example, a bus ran by itself destroying things on the street. That sounds deja vu. By the way, that is another unreasonable scene.
But like I said, the film is entertaining. If you are not trying to satisfy your intellectual needs, the film is not a bad one. For Charlie Yeung's old fans, it is not something to miss, as she was shot so beautifully in the film.
