《小情人》以懷舊為題，用了70至80年代的泰國為背景，訴說主角的童年往事。兩位小主角的表現自然。男的略勝一籌。而片中男主角的兒時玩伴們更是各有特色，性格比兩位主角更鮮明，更能討觀眾歡心。此片的故事雖是平鋪直鈙，但發展得順暢及輕鬆。導演處理得非常恰到好處。
片中的兒時玩意在我們的童年中都曾發生，很容易的令觀眾投入及有共鳴。你我的兒時玩伴亦像片中故事般，隨時光流逝，只能從記憶中懷緬他們。
