Based on a true story, the film is about the case of a serial killer-rapist who was being hunted by country-side detective Du-man Park (Kang-ho Song) and urban detective Tae-yun Seo (Sang-kyung Kim). Park always depended on his instinct, while Seo always talked about evidence. They had arrested a number of innocent people at first, while they both believe the last person that they arrested was the killer…
The film is amusing and is fun to watch. Song's performance is part of the reason of the success of this film. Kim is also an honorable mention. Unlike Hollywood's police stories, the film does not portray the detectives as invincible, nor outstandingly intelligent, nor great fighters. They are like average cops, like an every day person. As a result, you will get a different feeling than with other cop films. It feels like you and me are part of them. The film was on the top of the Korea box office chart for 4 weeks and grasped 6 awards in Korea. I do not think achieving this is just a matter of luck.
