A tramp (Charlie Chaplin) fell in love with a blind girl (Virginia Cherrill) who sold flowers. At the same tine, he befriended with an eccentric millionaire (Harry Myers). The blind girl's grandmother (Florence Lee) could not pay the rent, and she needed money to do an eye surgery to get her eyesight back. The tramp tried to get money to help her, by fighting as a boxer and taking money from the millionaire. He was sent to jail while the blind girl had the surgery and got her eyesight back. Nine months later, they met again…

This film is another re-release of an old classic film. It is also a timeless masterpiece by Charlie Chaplin. As with the previous Chaplin film I wrote about (Modern Times), the comedy scenes are still as entertaining as it was 60 years ago. The film is more or less a silent music, with music scores accompanying almost the whole of the film.

The film is very fun and easy to watch. Although the beginning was a little bit cheesy, the film as a whole is worth every minute you would spend watching it.
