Pan (Supakorn Kitsuwon) was a youngster living in a Thai village. He was badly in love with Sadaw (Siriyakorn Pukkavesh). Started out as a forbidden love, Sadaw's father (Prasit Wongrakthai) finally approved their relationship, and the couple got married. Soon Sadaw was pregnant. Unfortunately, Pan was then drafted into the army and had to leave Sadaw. In his military life, he was dreaming to be a singer. He grabbed his chance and was selected to join an entertainment group. Full of hope to be a singer, he waited and waited and he did not have a chance to perform. On one occasion, while Sadaw visited the city to see Pan, he had a chance to perform and the audience liked him. His boss Suwat (Somlek Sakdikul) wanted him to perform, but he also demanded homo-sexual sex from him. Pan's life changed completely just that night…

This film has got a number of international nominations. Personally, I think it deserves all those it got. Although the theme is kind of sad, it is quite pleasant to watch from the beginning to the end. Both the main actor and actress were lovable. Pan is not the best man in the world, but the way the film is presented would make every member of the audience take pity on him for his misfortune rather than blaming him for all the bad decisions that he had made. Sadaw, on the other hand, is so lovable from the very beginning. I do not think the audience would even blame her for shooting Pan with a rifle just for fun.
