Finding Nemo is another film made out of the collaboration between Disney and Pixar, and created by the same crew as Monsters, Inc. Finding Nemo is not a lot unlike Monsters, Inc. or the Toy Story series which were also made by Disney and Pixar, except the protagonists are fish, not imaginary creatures or supposed-to-be-non-living toys.

Marlin, a male clownfish, lost his wife and most of his eggs after an attack by a shark. There was only one egg left, which finally became Nemo. On the first day to school, Nemo was caught by a dentist who though Nemo needed help. Marlin was determined to find Nemo. On his way he met Dory, a forgetful fish who wanted to help Marlin. Marlin does not have a lot of time to save Nemo, because the dentist was about to give Nemo away to his niece who didn't knew or want to be nice to fish...

To the kid, this is a comedy. To adult, it is probably more than that. The story describes a lot about father-son relationships. The story praises the fatherly love of Marlin towards Nemo for his bravery and adamancy in the search for Nemo. Apart from this, the plot also preaches how fathers and sons should get along. The writers believe that fathers, or parents, should let their kids take a reasonable amount of risk in fulfilling their dreams, and kids should listen to their parents. However, I doubt if kids would be able to get the messages.

The animation is nicely rendered and look quite real except, well, the humans. I always have one question: No matter how nicely are the animals and toys and monsters drawn, the humans always look like cartoons. Anyway, the film is beautiful in terms of the quality of the story and the quality of the animation. It is worth the time to watch this film.
