The story of Anna in King Fu Land is an interesting one, although below the surface of the story is only vacuum. The progression of the story was hit by a truck when Anna (Mariam Yeung) switched to represent a different school of Kung Fu after giving up in a previous match up. However, logic sometimes does not stand in these kinds of comedy.

Mariam Yeung had played very similar roles in different films. Almost all her roles are cute, innocent, playful, young girls who often cause many troubles to the people around them. Not only are her roles giving the audience no surprises, her performance is also not showing any improvement. Is it her problem or is it the directors' problems? I am not sure. But no matter how much I like her as an entertainment personality, her career in cinema seems to be going nowhere.

The film is basically entertaining, but there are no surprises in both the script and the cast.
