Me (Sammi Cheng), after meeting her old classmates who had married rich men, was determined to find a rich man to marry. Suddenly, a bible for finding a rich man to marry fell from the sky. She followed the instructions and met Dan (Richie Ren) in the first class compartment in a flight to Milan, Italy. The two had a happy time in Milan, but they later found out that both of them were not rich. When Me was back in Hong Kong, a young tycoon was very fond of Me, and later asked her to marry him. Me, who has no feeling towards the tycoon, had to choose between her dream and her feeling towards Dan.

Marry a Rich Man is another comedy featuring the Sammi-Richie pair. Both Sammi and Richie are top idols. So, the cast is already attractive enough. The story is relatively weak but entertaining. The film talks about the old-fashioned topic of the choice between money and love, and the ending is quite old-fashioned although there is a little bit of tweak, too. Luckily, the film is not trying to sell the idea of love too much. Rather, it focuses more on entertaining the audience. In fact, the film is funny enough to keep you interested during the whole show.

By the way, when I got the tickets of the film, I got some old Lai-See envelopes which are quite nice. That could be another reason to purchase tickets to watch the film.
