| 整體表現 Overall |
The film sells the ideas of teamwork and family values. Although kind of old, these ideas almost always work in a well-produced film, especially when your target audience is kids (You cannot expect them to challenge you, right?). The story is clearly innocent by any adult standard, but any adult would find the world of this film a hiding place from the cruel real world while being indulged in the beautifully rendered nature and lovable Sub-Zero Heroes of Manfred, Sid, Diego, and the honorable mention of Scrat the Squeak Attack.
Yes, the quality of the animation is excellent considering the current level of computer animation technology, and the background landscapes are very beautifully done. The resolution is extremely high. And, the color is more natural than other computer generated animations made by companies like Pixar ("Toy Story", "Monsters, Inc") and look more real than those. The details of the characters are impressive. If you know computer-generated animation, you know that hair and its movements are the most difficult thing to make. In this film, the hair of the animals, including the uneven-length hair on Manfred's trunk and those on the neck of the tigers which moves with the wind, look almost like real. The movements of the animals also look natural. On the contrary, the humans in the film look kind of crude, and their movements are quite unnatural. Their hair look as hard as metal wire. Maybe they are not the focus of the film?
Note: The version that I watched was the original English version.
