Benigno (Javier Camara), a nurse in "El Bosque" hospital, was living right across a dance school. He had a crush on one of the students, Alicia (Leonor Watling), who later entered into a coma as a result of a traffic accident. Benigno fought to take care of her. Meanwhile reporter Marco (Dario Grandinetti) was dating the only female bullfighter Lydia (Rosario Flores). Lydia got into a coma when she was seriously injured in a bullfighting event. Marco was in the hospital every day to take care of Lydia. Benigno and Marco met in the hospital and became friends. Drawn by Alicia's beauty, Benigno raped the unconscious Alicia while other nurses were not present. Benigno was sent to jail, and Marco was the only person visiting him. Alicia, miraculously, came out from the coma. Benigno, who lived only because of the love towards Alicia, was not told about her recovery. On Marco's side, he found out the truth while he could have found out before Lydia's accident…
"Talk to Her" is basically made by the same team that made "All About My Mother", and therefore the feel that the two films give you is more or less the same. The more interesting scene in the film is a film in the film about a shrunk man who found his place in a woman's genital. The film features a number of films and plays that Benigno watched when he was off work and he would tell Alicia when he came back to work.
The story is not a bad one, but it does not seem to have a focus. It talks about Benigno's infatuation towards Alicia and Marco's love towards Lydia, and that is it. Overall, it is okay.
