Rose was a spoiled daughter of a Hong Kong tycoon. His father was a sponsor of an elementary school in a rural area of China. Because he was too busy, he sent Rose to represent him in a ceremony of the school. After that, Rose's car was stopped by some gangsters. Her chauffeur, while try to protect her, pushed her into the river and got her drowned. She forgot her past, and young Chiu and his father pretended to be her family. Slowly, she began to enjoy her new life. Chiu was a student of Rose's father's sponsored school. While Rose picked Chiu up at school, the principal recognized her, and her father then found her. In the midst of a chaos, Rose's head hit a rock, and she remembered her past...

The motion picture is both a comedy and drama (or more simply a dramedy). When viewed as a comedy, it is not bad. The performance of Eight Tael Gold, the chauffeur, is especially entertaining. However, when viewed as a drama, it is a disaster.

The story is well written from the beginning, but not till the end. While I was expecting that the ending would also be well written, the script failed me, big time. I can accept that Rose befriended with Chiu and Kam from then on, but her willingness to stay behind with Kam basically made me sick, and her father's smiling at watching her daughter with Chiu and Kam made me even more sick. I do not favor classism, but that ending will not happen in a million years.
