故 事 完 整 而 且 頗 為 引 人 入 勝 的 。 導 演 拍 出 來 的 效 果 亦 很 不 錯 、 很 緊 湊 。 這 齣 戲 給 觀 眾 很 多 娛 樂 ： 特 技 效 果 的 使 用 在 此 片 裡 是 十 分 之 多 ， 一 開 始 時 便 來 一 場 二 十 二 世 紀 殺 人 網 絡 式 的 環 迴 立 體 爆 炸 場 面 。 錢 ， 肯 定 是 花 了 很 多 。 可 是 ， 發 行 商 並 未 有 將 之 作 重 點 宣 傳 （ 最 少 在 香 港 沒 有 ） 。 筆 者 懷 疑 所 花 的 錢 是 否 物 有 所 值 。 況 且 ， 近 來 的 電 影 用 特 技 用 得 十 分 濫 ， 有 了 這 些 場 面 ， 觀 眾 或 許 會 感 覺 製 片 的 認 真 ， 但 是 否 會 因 此 而 喜 歡 這 部 電 影 ， 筆 者 覺 得 並 非 必 然 。 筆 者 在 看 了 那 場 立 體 爆 炸 場 面 ， 便 開 始 懷 疑 製 片 在 別 的 項 目 上 有 沒 有 花 心 思 。

撇 除 特 技 的 濫 ， 筆 者 覺 得 此 片 算 是 不 錯 。 喜 觀 看 緊 湊 場 面 的 觀 眾 一 定 會 喜 歡 這 齣 戲 。

Gabriel Shear (John Travolta) sent his girlfriend Ginger Knowles (Halle Berry) to ask Stanley Jobson in Texas to hack into the system of the World Bank to steal the money that the government made when it had the Operation Sword Fish, an operation where the government set up an "organization" to deal with the drug dealers. Stanley, being desparated to get the custody of her daughter Holly, had no choice but to work for Gabriel. Gabriel said he did the crime for the freedom for the whole American population, but he was actually only a terrorist.

The story is quite complete and entertaining by itself. Special visual effects are used a lot in the film. At the very beginning of the film, a Matrix-style surround 3-D bombing scene is extremely stunning. Surely, a lot of money is spent on making this. However, the distributor did not make it a big deal, at least not in Hong Kong. I doubt, considering how the film is being positioned, whether it is really worth the money to produce the visual effects. After all, the viewers may think that the production is serious as a result of the effects, but whether the effects would make the viewers like it is another matter. As a matter of fact, I began to doubt if other aspects of the film was good when I saw the bombing scene I mentioned above.

Despite the overuse of special effects in the film, I think this is a good film to watch. Viewers who like exciting scenes or special effects would especially like it.
