《 西 西 里 的 美 麗 傳 說 》 中 的 傳 說 ， 其 實 一 點 也 不 美 麗 。 二 次 大 戰 期 間 ， 居 住 在 西 西 里 島 Castelcuto 村 中 的 Malena （ Monica Bellucci 飾 ） 的 丈 夫 到 戰 場 ， 留 下 Malena 一 個 人 在 村 內 。 Malena 因 為 太 美 麗 ， 男 的 無 不 欣 賞 其 美 貌 ， 女 的 無 不 妒 忌 。 所 以 ， 村 中 對 她 的 閒 言 閒 語 甚 多 。 十 三 歲 的 Renato （ Giusappe Sulfaro 飾 ） 因 為 迷 戀 Malena 而 常 常 跟 著 她 。 後 來 傳 來 她 丈 夫 的 死 訊 ， 村 中 流 傳 的 謠 言 更 加 厲 害 ， 更 令 她 苦 不 堪 言 。 大 戰 結 束 後 ， 她 更 被 村 中 婦 女 虐 打 。 此 時 ， 她 的 「 亡 」 夫 竟 然 回 到 村 中 ……

人 言 可 畏 。 在 此 片 中 這 個 訊 息 簡 直 表 露 無 遺 。 Malena 的 不 幸 ， 完 全 是 村 中 的 八 婆 們 所 賜 。 不 論 Malena 怎 樣 守 婦 道 ， 八 婆 們 從 來 都 沒 有 放 過 她 。 後 來 Malena 變 得 墮 落 ， 亦 是 因 為 Malena 對 八 婆 們 的 謠 言 的 一 個 反 擊 。 如 片 中 所 說 ， Malena 的 罪 ， 可 能 只 是 生 得 太 美 。

關 於 Renato 的 故 事 亦 甚 為 有 趣 。 Renato 迷 戀 比 他 大 十 五 年 的 Malena ， 常 常 活 在 他 對 她 的 性 幻 想 的 世 界 裡 。 他 這 樣 的 行 為 被 父 母 發 現 後 ， 受 到 十 分 嚴 厲 的 對 待 。 可 是 ， 他 受 到 的 懲 罰 亦 不 能 改 變 他 對 Malena 的 傾 慕 。 無 論 如 何 ， 迷 戀 只 是 迷 戀 ， 永 遠 是 沒 有 結 果 的 。 有 時 ， 家 長 對 子 女 的 迷 戀 行 為 可 能 亦 不 應 太 在 意 吧 ！

片 中 的 大 場 面 都 做 得 甚 為 真 實 ， 而 且 配 樂 十 分 一 流 （ 獲 奧 斯 卡 提 名 ） 。 其 製 作 的 認 真 程 度 可 見 一 斑 。 Monica Ballucci 及 Giusappe Sulfaro 的 演 出 亦 十 分 理 想 。 各 方 面 的 配 合 令 到 此 片 十 分 出 色 。 筆 者 向 大 家 推 薦 本 電 影 。

During the Second World War, Malena (Monica Bellucci), who lived in the small village of Castelcuto on the island of Sicily, had a husband who was serving in the Italian army. She was thus living alone in the village. Because Malena was very beautiful, all men wanted her and all women were jealous of her. 13-year-old Renato (Giusappe Sulfaro) often followed her because of his infatuation towards her. Later, news about the death of Malena's husband came, and rumors about her flooded the village. After the war, when the Allied Army arrived, she was taken out to the street and was beaten up. At this time, her "dead" husband came back to the village...

The misfortune of Malena was a result of the extreme nosiness and jealousy of the women in the village. No matter how much Malena tried to fulfill her wifely duties by being faithful to her husband, she never earned the respect she deserved. People who like to spread rumors may want to think about Malena. Later in the story, when Malena began to date around, she was counterattacking the village women. Like said in the story, Malena was only guilty of being too beautiful.

The story about Renato's infatuation towards Malena who was 14 years older than he was an interesting one. He lived in his sexual fantasy about Malena. After his infatuation was discovered by his parents, he was severely punished. However, that did not change his feelings towards Malena. In any case, infatuation is infatuation and leads to nothing. Perhaps parents should not bother too much about their children's infatuation because it would go away silently.

The grander scenes in the film were particularly well-made. The score was also excellent (a nomination in Oscar was earned). Monica Ballucci and Giusappe Sulfaro's acting was also worth mentioning. All these aspects made Malena an excellent film. I recommend this film.
