四 個 英 國 學 生 走 到 一 個 地 穴 旅 行 ， 但 只 有 一 個 人 生 還 。 Liz （ Thora Birch 飾 ） 、 Mike （ Desmond Horrington 飾 ） 、 Geoff （ Laurence Fox 飾 ） 及 Frankie （ Keira Knightley 飾 ） 打 算 到 那 裏 渡 過 三 天 ， 但 除 了 Liz 外 ， 其 他 人 相 繼 死 去 。 Liz 指 Martin （ Daniel Brocklebank 飾 ） 將 他 們 鎖 起 ， 但 Martin 否 認 。 Horwood 博 士 （ Embeth Davidtz 飾 ） 盤 問 了 Liz ， 但 Liz 給 她 一 個 童 話 故 事 。 顯 然 Liz 的 記 憶 受 到 壓 抑 ， 因 為 Liz 的 故 事 與 現 實 不 符 ， 而 博 士 亦 設 法 查 出 真 相 。

故 事 情 節 要 做 到 的 是 令 觀 眾 認 為 事 件 的 真 相 是 這 樣 ， 然 後 又 告 之 觀 眾 事 實 其 實 是 那 樣 ， 而 最 後 再 讓 觀 眾 得 知 最 「 真 」 的 真 相 。 對 於 這 一 點 ， 這 電 影 可 算 是 成 功 。 可 是 ， 故 事 本 身 有 頗 大 的 錯 漏 。 Martin 的 命 運 實 際 解 釋 不 了 三 個 死 者 的 死 因 ， 而 警 方 是 否 真 的 會 不 相 信 Horwood 博 士 轉 述 Liz 所 說 的 話 。 筆 者 相 信 警 方 不 會 那 麼 笨 。

整 體 來 說 ， 此 片 只 屬 可 以 。 它 可 帶 給 觀 眾 娛 樂 ， 但 顯 然 欠 缺 好 片 的 元 素 。

4 British students, including Liz (Thora Birch), Mike (Desmond Harrington), Geoff (Laurence Fox), and Frankie (Keira Knightley), went into a hole, possibly a bomb shelter, for vacation for 3 days. However, they were locked in it for 2 weeks, and only Liz managed to survive. Liz accused her friend Martin (Daniel Brocklebank) for locking them up. Martin denied. Dr. Philippa Horwood (Embeth Davidtz) interrogated Liz and Liz told a fairy story, obvious showing her memory being suppressed. The story was contradicting to the situation, and Dr Horwood strived to search for the truth. What really happened down there?

The story line was written so that the viewers would think the situation was not so shocking, and then they were told the story very differently, and then they would find out the truth. The film did succeed in this respect. However, there is a huge flaw in the "truth" of the story. The destiny of Martin surely did not solve the case where the cause of death of Mike, Geoff, and Frankie could not be explained. The police could not be so dumb to not believe Dr Horwood if she was to tell Liz's confession. Is it me or is it the screenwriter who could not get it?

On the whole, the film is okay. It is good entertainment, but lack the elements to make it a blockbuster.
