Rosalba （ Licia Maglietta 飾 ） 是 一 個 和 丈 夫 Mimmo （ Antonio Catania 飾 ） 及 兒 子 Nic （ Tiziano Cucchiarelli 飾 ） 住 在 意 大 利 中 部 的 一 個 家 庭 主 婦 。 每 年 她 一 家 人 都 會 出 外 遠 行 。 這 一 次 ， 在 旅 遊 巴 士 停 站 的 時 候 ， Rosalba 受 到 延 誤 而 上 不 到 車 ， 又 不 等 旅 遊 巴 士 回 頭 便 自 己 乘 順 風 車 到 了 威 尼 斯 。 到 第 二 日 ， 她 又 錯 過 了 上 火 車 時 間 而 不 能 回 家 。 在 沒 有 錢 的 情 況 下 ， 她 在 冰 島 籍 侍 應 Fernando （ Bruno Ganz 飾 ） 的 家 裡 暫 住 。 Rosalba 又 在 花 店 老 闆 Fermo （ Felico Andreasi 飾 ） 的 花 店 裡 工 作 ， 遲 遲 不 回 家 。 於 是 她 丈 夫 便 派 Constantino （ Giuseppe Battiston 飾 ） 到 威 尼 斯 找 她 ……

雖 然 故 事 有 點 牽 強 ， 但 整 部 電 影 頗 為 有 趣 。 Maglietta 將 笨 手 笨 腳 的 Rosalba 演 得 十 分 有 味 道 。 她 的 角 色 顯 然 是 意 大 利 典 型 傳 統 主 婦 ， 每 天 努 力 相 夫 教 子 。 但 是 ， 當 她 在 威 尼 斯 的 時 候 ， 她 找 到 可 以 做 朋 友 的 人 （ Grazia ， Marina Massironi 飾 ） ； 她 找 到 賞 識 她 工 作 能 力 的 人 （ Fermo ） ； 她 更 找 到 喜 歡 她 自 己 的 人 （ Fernando ） ： 幸 福 就 站 在 她 眼 前 。 比 較 牽 強 的 是 ， 在 Fernando 在 過 去 未 有 對 Rosalba 表 露 過 愛 意 的 情 況 下 ， Fernando 一 向 她 求 婚 ， 她 未 幾 便 帶 著 兒 子 到 威 尼 斯 與 他 一 起 。 對 於 一 個 受 著 傳 統 束 縛 的 意 大 利 傳 統 女 性 來 說 ， 實 在 是 太 快 吧 ！

發 行 商 說 此 片 在 日 本 上 映 超 過 一 年 ， 這 實 在 不 錯 。 它 亦 在 歐 洲 十 多 個 電 影 節 中 參 展 ， 真 可 見 其 水 準 之 高 。 筆 者 亦 覺 得 它 不 俗 。 還 有 一 點 ， 若 果 你 想 看 看 威 尼 斯 的 風 光 ， 千 萬 不 要 錯 過 此 片 。

Rosalba Barletta (Licia Maglietta), a housewife who was living in central Italy with her husband Mimmo (Antonio Catania) and son Nic (Tiziano Cucchiarelli), was having an annual trip with them. While their bus stopped at a resting place, she did not get back to the bus before it was gone. Instead of waiting for the bus to come back, she hitchhiked to Venezia (Venice). The next day, she missed (again!) her train back home. With very little money in her pocket, she stayed in the apartment of an Icelander waiter, Fernando Girasoli (Bruno Ganz), who was planning to commit suicide. Rosalba found a job in Fermo's (Felice Andreasi) flower shop and decided to stay in Venezia longer. Mimmo, while hiring a plumber, hired Costantino (Giuseppe Battiston), a plumber who had read 285 detective stories, to find Rosalba. Knowing that Nic was using drugs, Rosalba went back home. Fernando missed her so much that he went to propose to Rosalba...

Although mildly ridiculous and mildly unrealistic, the film is quite fun. Maglietta brought out the most of the clumsy Rosalba who was the center of many of the comedy pieces in the film. Her character is probably a very typical Italian housewife who does all the chores for her husband and kid at home. However, when she was in Venezia, she found someone to befriend with (Grazia by Marina Massironi), someone who admired her ability (Fermo), and someone who admired her for who she was (Fernando), and that was when felicity was knocking on her door. The unrealistic part was, while Fernando never revealed his feelings towards Rosalba when she was in Venezia, she said yes to her proposal, and Nic followed her to Venezia. With all the traditional values surrounding the lives of the Italians, that was unlikely for Rosalba, a traditional Italian housewife. At least, it should take time.

The distributor said this film was shown in Japan for more than a year. No matter how many cinemas showed the film there, this is quite a success. This film has also taken part in numerous film festivals in Europe. Also not a bad thing. I quite enjoyed the film, even though I was annoyed by some members of the audience who were talking during the whole film. If you like to see the beauty of Venice, you should not miss it, too!
