發 行 商 將 此 片 塑 造 成 一 部 爆 笑 喜 劇 ， 並 用 了 不 少 金 錢 在 粵 語 配 音 上 。 可 是 ， 觀 眾 可 能 會 大 失 所 望 。 由 於 有 百 萬 富 翁 主 持 陳 啟 泰 配 音 ， 廣 東 話 對 白 中 加 了 不 少 百 萬 富 翁 的 東 西 。 這 令 到 故 事 更 加 沉 悶 。 此 片 在 國 際 電 影 節 中 得 到 影 評 人 大 獎 。 當 時 沒 有 配 音 ， 用 原 裝 的 韓 語 對 白 上 映 。 被 列 入 的 片 種 也 可 能 有 所 不 同 。 筆 者 沒 有 看 過 那 版 本 ， 但 相 信 它 是 一 齣 講 述 人 與 狗 關 係 並 帶 點 輕 鬆 的 電 影 。 配 了 粵 語 後 ， 真 給 人 畫 蛇 添 足 之 感 。 筆 者 認 為 ， 若 影 評 人 說 好 的 ， 任 何 的 改 動 也 可 能 令 全 片 大 打 折 扣 。

此 片 有 談 及 的 是 對 別 人 的 包 容 。 這 是 此 片 較 正 面 的 東 西 。 主 角 元 俊 憎 狗 入 骨 ， 但 後 有 發 現 BB 對 其 妻 的 重 要 ， 而 妻 子 又 很 為 他 設 想 。 當 然 ， 他 最 後 也 為 此 覺 得 羞 恥 。

While the distributor could have invested a lot of money in the dubbing cast, the dubbed film could not meet the expectation of the viewers, especially when the distributor claimed that the film is a marvelous comedy. The host of the Hong Kong version of Who Wants to be a Millionaire was the leading dubbing cast, and the dubbed dialog involved a lot of things related to WWTBAM. That makes the film even worse. I might have laughed for a few times in 2 hours. The film won critics' Award of the Hong Kong International Film festival when the film was shown in its original language: Korean. I have not seen that version, but I could imagine that the film was better in its original form, which could have been categorized differently. Maybe the original could convey the idea for the love towards animals with a little bit of humor, the dubbed version is a poor comedy and a failing drama. This case is even worse than "Foul King", which was mediocre with Cantonese dubbing. In my opinion, if the critics say a film is good, it is good "as is". Putting any more effort into the film, such as Cantonese dubbing, usually only destroys the film.

On the neutral side, the film talks about the idea of tolerance. In the film, the leading role male character, Yoon-ju (Lee Sung-jae), who hated dogs finally found his wife was a dog lover, and someone who cared almost nothing else but his career. Of course, he felt so ashamed in the end when he found out that a dog was indirectly so important to him.
