這 齣 電 影 是 講 述 Ed (Matthew McConaughey) ， 一 個 普 通 人 ， 被 True TV 選 定 作 為 一 個 24 小 時 直 播 普 通 人 生 活 電 視 節 目 的 主 角 。 本 來 節 目 可 能 在 第 一 日 便 遭 腰 斬 ， 但 它 慢 慢 成 為 極 之 受 歡 迎 的 節 目 。 美 國 的 大 公 司 亦 紛 紛 在 節 目 內 賣 廣 告 。 後 來 電 視 台 不 但 跟 著 他 ， 還 纏 著 他 的 家 人 ， 所 以 他 便 設 法 將 節 目 終 止 。 故 事 結 尾 有 點 公 式 化 ， 但 中 間 的 部 分 十 分 不 錯 。
The story is about an ordinary man Ed (Matthew McConaughey) who has been selected by True TV, a TV channel that brings the viewers live broadcast of all kinds of events, and have his life broadcast live on cable TV 24 hours a day. It starts out that the show could have been cut on its first day, but then it gained popularity and attracted big Ameican corporations to advertise in the show. Then Ed feels too frustrated because he and his folks all lose their privacy and finds a way to end the show. The ending is quite a formula, but it is what happens in the middle that makes it a good one.

據 筆 者 所 知 ， 這 齣 戲 從 未 在 香 港 上 映 ， 可 能 是 因 為 它 太 美 國 的 關 係 。 若 你 未 曾 在 美 國 居 住 ， 有 些 情 節 會 令 你 一 頭 霧 水 ， 如 RuPaul 及 Jay Leno 的 片 段 。
As far as I know, this film has never been shown in Hong Kong in theaters. The story is very American. If you have never lived in the United States, you probably will not understand all those tiny little shot of shows like RuPaul and Jay Leno and what those mean to the film. That might be the reason why it did not secure any time in Hong Kong cinemas.

Matthew McConaughey (Ed) 曾 在 幾 齣 大 電 影 演 出 ， 如 超 時 空 接 觸 及 殺 戮 時 刻 。 在 這 套 電 影 中 他 亦 有 不 俗 的 演 出 。 Jeff Elfman (Shari) 雖 然 十 分 迷 人 ， 但 演 技 仍 頗 嫩 。 Woody Harrelson (Ray) 演 出 也 不 錯 。 當 然 Elizabeth Hurley 亦 值 得 留 意 。
Matthew McConaughey (Ed) has been in serveral major films like Contact and A Time to Kill. He has done pretty well in this film. Jenna Elfman (Shari) is so darling, although a bit too green for the big screen. Woody Harrelson (Ray) is good too. Don't forget about the attractive Elizabeth Hurley who starred in Austin Powers. She is stunning.

製 作 方 面 沒 有 特 別 ， 但 若 包 裝 用 膠 盒 則 較 好 。
Nothing special in this category, although I dislike that the set comes with an envelope instead of a jewel case.

畫 面 質 素 不 錯 。 新 藝 瑪 的 VCD 通 常 都 有 不 錯 的 畫 面 。
The picture quality is good. This is something good about CIC's VCD's.

雖 然 它 這 麼 美 國 ， 每 個 人 都 會 覺 得 它 有 趣 。 筆 者 曾 在 美 國 渡 假 時 看 過 這 齣 戲 ， 亦 難 以 忍 手 地 買 了 它 的 VCD 。 筆 者 認 為 這 齣 戲 不 錯 ， 值 得 推 薦 。
Though too American, anybody should find this film entertaining. I saw this film in US when it was shown there, and I just can't help but to buy its VCD when it is available. I like this film and I recommend it.
