2020年，傷愈復職的特警沙展大衛，受命追緝一名涉嫌多宗暴力謀殺的危險毒販，這名毒敗更是大衛的殺妻仇人，大衛誓要親手將仇人正法！經過連番追查，大衛唯一的線索是毒犯可能躲藏在一間科技極先進的私家醫院內──女院長是鑽研人腦記憶體的專家。正當大衛茫無頭緒之際，他腦中竟出現不屬於自己的記憶，他必須拼死尋出箇中駭人真相！此片編導刻意在一個迂迴曲折的懸疑片種裡，加入大量數碼特技畫面，把未來大都會的摩登光景作擂台背景，一場又一場拳拳到肉的HI-TECH格鬥，更能帶出最震撼的視覺官能刺激。

Synopsis
David Hoffman, lieutenant in the European Police, accepts to go back in the line of duty to hunt down a dangerous smuggler suspected of a vile murder. The guy happens to have killed David's wife months before. His investigation will lead him to a state-of-the-art clinic under the iron grip of Professor Brugen. When truth is lodged in the heart of the brain, memories become a precious and highly coveted commodity. And some of them never fade away.
"Chrysalis", the first feature film by Julien Leclerq, plays with various film genres: it is a thriller, it is science fiction, and it is and action movie with Paris in the year 2020 as the backdrop.
No flying cars or aliens… rather a realistic vision fueled by research on the near future: architecture, transportation, and the technology integrated into our daily lives. "Chrysalis" is a futuristic but not surrealistic vision of what tomorrow hold in store.
The only concession to the imagination: a computer program that allows people to stock their memories, and a surgeon performing an operation "long distance" via a series of holograms.
The film takes place primarily in Paris and its suburbs, and most of it was shot on location.
However "Chrysalis" mixes its "normal" images with digital ones in order to amplify the effects of urban modernization: old Parisian buildings with added stories in the city center and audaciously conceived skyscrapers in the business section. Few films have ever proposed a vision of Paris's so-imminent future.
Julien Leclercq was discovered with this first short film "Transit" - impressive by its formal mastery of the medium and also by its rhythm and aesthetic rigor.
This time he is helming a film that is dark yet not bleak, an homage to Georges Franju's eerie masterwork "Eyes Without a Face".
It will also tell the story of two people who have nothing in common: Manon, a girl full of innocence trying to find her lost memories, and David, a maverick police forced to pay for his.
