十 八 個 月 前 ， 隸 屬 毒 品 調 查 科 探 員 泰 利 斯 ， 在 一 次 執 行 任 務 時 因 槍 失 火 而 令 一 名 孕 婦 流 產 。 除 了 要 接 受 警 方 內 部 調 查 外 ， 他 和 家 人 在 心 理 上 都 留 下 了 陰 。

現 在 ， 泰 利 斯 又 再 一 次 面 對 調 查 員 ， 但 今 次 他 們 卻 要 他 調 查 一 宗 殺 警 案 。 一 名 臥 底 警 員 遭 槍 殺 ， 但 警 方 對 兇 徒 卻 毫 無 頭 緒 。 由 於 泰 利 斯 有 相 關 經 驗 ， 只 要 他 願 意 接 受 ， 警 方 將 立 即 終 止 他 的 內 部 調 查 ， 亦 會 恢 復 他 的 職 務 。

去 年 在 港 上 映 的 《 無 間 道 》 ， 成 績 驕 人 ， 除 了 創 下 香 港 影 壇 不 少 突 破 性 紀 錄 ， 更 牽 起 久 違 了 的 黑 幫 片 熱 潮 ； 而 它 更 是 首 部 賣 給 荷 里 活 重 拍 的 港 產 片 。 雖 然 美 國 版 的 《 無 間 道 》 還 未 開 拍 ， 但 這 部 同 樣 以 臥 底 為 背 景 的 《 忠 奸 道 》 ， 在 上 映 期 間 受 到 很 高 的 評 價 。 無 論 故 事 背 景 、 主 角 的 性 格 刻 畫 、 演 員 的 精 湛 演 技 和 緊 張 刺 激 的 情 節 ， 如 果 你 喜 歡 《 無 間 道 》 這 類 型 電 影 ， 《 忠 奸 道 》 絕 對 不 能 錯 過 ！

《 忠 奸 道 》 在 多 個 國 際 電 影 節 中 都 屢 獲 提 名 ： 聖 丹 斯 電 影 節 獲 劇 情 片 獎 提 名 ， 好 評 如 潮 ； 獨 立 電 影 精 神 獎 獲 最 佳 導 演 、 最 佳 男 配 角 ( 雷 李 奧 達 ) 及 最 佳 攝 影 三 項 提 名 ； 戛 納 電 影 節 榮 獲 Policier 特 別 獎 。

導 演 祖 卡 納 漢 是 一 名 新 晉 導 演 。 他 受 一 部 犯 罪 紀 錄 片 《 The Thin Blue Line 》 (1976) 影 響 ， 從 1994 年 開 始 便 構 思 拍 製 成 電 影 。 最 初 他 只 打 算 拍 攝 一 部 三 十 分 鐘 的 短 片 《 Gun Point 》 ， 但 經 過 更 深 入 的 研 究 後 ， 他 發 現 短 片 已 不 夠 容 納 他 想 帶 出 的 內 容 ， 於 是 經 過 多 年 的 籌 備 和 策 劃 ， 《 忠 奸 道 》 終 於 被 搬 上 大 銀 幕 ， 還 得 到 荷 里 活 巨 星 湯 告 魯 斯 監 製 呢 ！

憑 本 片 曾 獲 最 佳 男 配 角 提 名 的 雷 李 奧 達 ， 是 一 名 多 才 多 藝 的 演 員 ， 從 影 近 廿 年 。 既 是 演 員 ， 又 是 監 製 和 導 演 的 雷 李 奧 達 演 出 過 多 部 電 影 ， 其 中 不 少 是 經 典 的 黑 幫 警 匪 片 。 而 他 更 憑 《 Field of Dreams 》 獲 奧 斯 卡 提 名 。

In homage to such classic film as "The French Connection" and "Serpico", writer/director Joe Carnahan's "Narc" explores the dark underbelly of the drug world with a compelling story about the intense psyche behind those individuals called "narcs", undercover officers who put themselves on the front lines of the war against drugs. Chipping away at the number of dealers on the streets, these brave men and women leave their loved ones behind each day as they throw themselves into the brutal world of drug abuse for one purpose only…to end it.

"Narc" tells the story of suspended undercover narcotics officer, Nick Tellis (Jason Patric), who is reluctantly drawn back onto the force to find the truth behind the murder of a young police officer killed in the line of duty. He is teamed with Henry Oak (Ray Liotta), the slain officer's partner, a rogue cop who will stop at nothing to avenge his friend's death. As Tellis and Oak unravel the case, the dark underbelly of the narcotics world reveals itself in surprising ways that are more twisted than either officer has seen before…and the mystery that slowly reveals itself threatens to destroy them both.

Nominated for the Dramatic Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival in Utah and winner of the Special Prize Policier Award at the Cognac Film Festival in France, "Narc" is written and directed by an innovative new voice in filmmaking, Joe Carnahan ("Blood, Guts, Bullets and Octane"). The film stars Jason Patric ("Your Friends & Neighbors," "Rush") and Ray Liotta ("Hannibal", "Goodfellas"). An intense adrenaline rush from the first heart stopping chase scene to the stunning dramatic climax, this taut police thriller also features rap artist Busta Rhymes ("Finding Forester", "Shart") and Chi McBride ("Undercover").

Inspired by a critically acclaimed documentary, "The Thin Blue Line", about an actual slaying of a Dallas police officer in 1976, writer/director Joe Carnahan first developed "Narc" in 1994 as a short film entitled "Gun Point". But the young filmmaker still had a fascination for the subject and wanted to expand the 30-minute short into a complicated murder investigation.

Expanding "Gun Point" into "Narc" and developing it into a film in which a very dark event slowly comes to light from different points of view, Carnahan set his story in the mean streets of Detroit and centered it around a disgraced police officer who makes his way through the gritty drug underworld in search of not only the truth about what happened to the slain officer, but also his own inner truth.
