佛 經 �� 面 描 述 ， 無 間 是 一 個 地 獄 裡 面 最 萬 惡 的 地 方 ， 這 �� 弱 肉 強 食 ， 是 非 不 分 ， 罪 孽 深 重 的 人 就 會 被 打 落 無 間 地 獄 ， 無 間 斷 地 受 苦 ， 永 不 輪 �A 。

【 無 間 道 】 ----- 講 兩 個 身 份 混 亂 的 人 ， 他 們 各 自 身 為 警 方 及 黑 社 會 的 �� 底 ， 決 心 要 離 開 這 個 不 辨 是 非 的 處 境 ， 離 開 無 間 地 獄 ， 尋 回 自 已 。

1991 年 ， 劉 健 明 ( 劉 德 華 飾 ) 18 歲 ， 屋 �h 長 大 ， 三 合 會 會 員 ， 聽 從 黑 社 會 大 哥 韓 琛 ( 曾 志 偉 飾 ) 的 指 示 ， 加 入 香 港 警 察 ， 作 為 黑 社 會 �� 底 。 劉 健 明 不 負 所 望 ， 用 了 七 年 時 間 晉 升 至 警 長 ， 更 有 望 升 為 見 習 督 察 。 現 為 刑 事 情 報 科 (CIB) A 隊 的 一 員 。 其 實 劉 的 上 位 全 因 韓 琛 提 供 大 量 敵 對 幫 派 的 犯 罪 情 報 。 韓 琛 也 乘 勢 擴 張 ， 現 己 緊 握 �� 油 尖 旺 區 毒 品 的 供 應 源 頭 。

1992 年 ， 陳 永 仁 ( 梁 朝 偉 飾 ) 被 警 察 訓 練 學 校 強 逼 退 學 ， 表 面 理 由 ： 身 體 狀 �G 不 適 宜 執 行 警 務 工 作 ； 機 密 理 由 ： 執 行 滲 透 進 三 合 會 的 �� 底 工 作 。 兩 年 後 ， 陳 永 仁 因 傷 人 被 判 守 行 為 ， 兩 個 月 後 再 犯 被 判 監 十 日 ， 六 年 來 共 八 次 傷 人 紀 綠 ， 被 法 庭 強 制 接 受 心 理 輔 導 。 陳 永 仁 現 身 職 為 紅 棍 ， 大 佬 是 近 三 年 活 躍 於 油 尖 旺 的 下 任 坐 館 韓 琛 。

2002 年 ， 3 月 份 一 個 晚 上 ， 尖 沙 咀 警 區 ， 重 案 B 隊 根 據 �� 底 提 供 的 情 報 ， 獲 知 一 批 毒 品 快 將 交 收 。 配 合 CIB 的 支 援 ， 重 案 B 隊 己 經 鎖 緊 目 標 人 物 韓 琛 ， 他 過 往 曾 經 多 次 逃 脫 警 方 的 羅 網 。 結 果 雙 方 的 情 報 也 被 泄 漏 ， 警 方 行 動 失 敗 ， 毒 品 交 易 也 不 成 功 ， 全 數 被 倒 入 海 中 ， 雙 敗 而 回 ， 暴 露 了 雙 方 均 有 �� 底 潛 伏 的 事 實 ， 引 發 兩 方 面 清 除 內 鬼 的 決 心 。

兩 個 命 運 異 迴 但 又 相 近 的 角 色 ， 一 個 生 死 相 撲 的 故 事 。 陳 永 仁 及 劉 健 明 在 這 個 無 間 道 的 旅 程 均 接 受 嚴 峻 的 考 驗 。 到 底 是 命 運 弄 人 ， 還 是 人 定 勝 天 。 故 事 的 結 尾 會 是 一 個 大 家 意 想 不 到 的 結 局 。

劉 健 明 ( 劉 德 華 飾 )

劉 健 明 於 屋 �h 長 大 ， 年 少 無 知 時 加 入 了 黑 社 會 ， 及 後 接 受 黑 社 會 大 哥 韓 琛 的 指 示 加 入 了 警 隊 。 多 年 來 劉 在 警 隊 努 力 不 倦 ， 加 上 韓 琛 在 背 後 的 支 持 ， 提 供 了 不 少 的 敵 方 黑 社 會 犯 罪 情 報 ， 令 劉 在 警 隊 內 平 步 青 雲 ， 連 年 進 升 至 總 督 察 。 但 自 從 �� 底 事 件 暴 露 後 ， 劉 大 受 韓 琛 的 壓 力 。 劉 心 中 己 默 默 構 思 了 一 個 清 洗 他 自 已 身 份 的 計 劃 ， 韓 琛 是 他 最 大 的 障 礙 ， 但 他 己 立 定 決 心 要 成 為 一 個 好 警 察 。

陳 永 仁 ， 年 三 十 六 ， 一 生 志 願 是 當 上 一 個 好 警 察 ， 當 年 投 考 警 隊 後 ， 由 於 觀 察 力 及 記 性 奇 佳 被 挑 選 進 入 一 個 核 心 的 �� 底 計 劃 ， 目 的 是 滲 進 黑 社 會 的 高 層 ， 現 己 接 近 成 果 。 成 功 在 望 的 時 候 ， 負 責 計 劃 的 上 司 們 相 繼 死 去 ， 陳 面 對 一 個 兩 難 的 局 面 ： 回 復 自 已 的 身 份 或 是 完 成 任 務 。 但 多 年 的 �� 底 生 活 己 令 陳 身 心 受 了 極 大 的 困 擾 ， 嚴 重 失 眠 ， 有 暴 力 及 自 殘 傾 向 ， 令 陳 需 要 長 期 接 受 心 理 醫 生 的 治 療 。

黃 志 誠 ( 黃 秋 生 飾 )

黃 志 誠 警 司 ( 黃 Sir) ， 重 案 組 A 隊 的 主 責 警 司 。 負 責 一 個 核 心 的 �� 底 計 劃 ， 打 擊 嚴 重 的 黑 社 會 罪 行 。 黃 當 年 親 手 在 警 校 挑 選 了 陳 永 仁 參 與 計 劃 ， 多 年 過 後 黃 與 陳 的 關 係 己 情 同 父 子 。 陳 的 表 現 也 不 負 黃 所 望 ， 現 有 力 將 一 個 龐 大 的 黑 社 會 集 團 搗 破 ， 但 在 關 鍵 時 刻 ， 黃 為 保 護 陳 的 身 份 而 被 殺 ， 功 敗 垂 成 。

韓 琛 ( 曾 志 偉 飾 )

韓 琛 一 個 精 明 及 有 遠 見 的 黑 社 會 大 哥 ， 十 多 年 開 始 在 屯 門 發 �[ ， 現 己 掌 握 了 油 尖 區 的 毒 品 供 應 源 頭 。 韓 多 年 前 己 派 出 手 下 滲 進 警 方 ， 憑 著 慎 密 的 步 署 ， 現 正 收 取 成 果 。 他 的 其 中 一 個 手 下 劉 健 明 己 進 入 了 警 方 的 高 層 ， 在 劉 的 幫 助 下 韓 更 如 虎 添 翼 。 但 �� 底 事 件 暴 露 後 ， 韓 大 失 預 算 ， 緊 迫 劉 揪 出 �� 底 。 韓 一 生 篤 信 佛 學 命 理 ， 深 信 命 運 早 在 自 已 掌 握 之 中 ， 但 最 終 仍 死 於 自 已 一 手 播 下 的 罪 孽 中 。

大 B ( 林 家 棟 飾 )

大 B 是 劉 健 明 在 刑 事 情 報 科 時 的 下 屬 。 他 非 常 崇 拜 劉 ， 後 劉 調 任 重 案 組 後 也 經 常 協 助 劉 做 額 外 的 工 作 ， 一 直 對 劉 表 現 出 忠 心 耿 耿 。 直 到 韓 琛 死 後 ， 大 B 才 向 劉 表 明 自 已 也 是 韓 派 進 警 隊 內 的 臥 底 ， 結 果 最 終 被 劉 所 殺 。

傻 強 ( 杜 汶 澤 飾 )

傻 強 是 個 極 具 義 氣 但 很 傻 的 黑 社 會 人 物 。 他 的 教 育 水 平 低 、 服 從 性 高 ， 與 陳 永 仁 是 好 朋 友 。 在 韓 琛 圍 攻 臥 底 的 行 動 中 替 陳 永 仁 掩 飾 了 不 在 場 的 事 實 。 傻 強 最 終 死 於 警 方 槍 下 ， 可 以 說 是 陳 永 仁 間 接 害 死 他 ， 實 是 一 個 悲 劇 人 物 。

Mary ( 鄭 秀 文 飾 )

Mary 是 劉 健 明 的 未 婚 妻 ， 也 是 一 位 流 行 小 說 作 家 。 她 性 格 表 面 上 十 分 獨 立 ， 但 愛 情 上 卻 很 依 賴 劉 健 明 ， 並 深 信 未 來 丈 夫 是 一 個 正 直 的 人 。 劉 健 明 也 十 分 疼 愛 她 ， 成 為 劉 要 脫 離 韓 琛 擺 佈 的 一 個 主 要 原 動 力 。

Dr. Lee ( 陳 慧 琳 飾 )

年 青 貌 美 的 Dr. Lee ， 是 一 位 行 醫 經 驗 尚 淺 的 心 理 醫 生 。 她 的 病 人 包 括 有 暴 力 及 自 殘 傾 向 的 黑 社 會 人 物 陳 永 仁 ， 她 被 陳 亦 正 亦 邪 的 性 格 所 深 深 吸 引 。 只 是 命 運 弄 人 ， 兩 人 始 終 沒 有 機 會 相 愛 ， Dr. Lee 最 終 亦 是 唯 一 知 道 陳 永 仁 真 正 身 份 的 人 。

May ( 蕭 亞 軒 飾 )

May 是 陳 永 仁 在 警 校 時 的 女 友 ， 但 其 後 陳 接 受 了 臥 底 的 任 務 ， 為 掩 飾 身 份 不 得 已 與 May 分 手 。 不 料 多 年 後 會 在 街 上 重 逢 ， May 更 已 經 拖 �� 一 個 小 女 孩 。 May 對 舊 情 人 表 面 上 淡 然 面 對 ， 但 極 力 掩 飾 �� 內 心 的 傷 感 ， 亦 沒 告 知 陳 小 孩 其 實 是 他 的 親 生 骨 肉 。

A secret too heavy to bear

MING (Andy Lau) is a mole in the police department. On the command of his Triad boss SAM (Eric Tsang), he became a cop when he was merely 18. After a decade of hard work, he has become a police sergeant in the Criminal Intelligence Bureau. With the help of Sam who tips him off with intelligence of his Triad rivals, Ming manages to earn kudos from his superiors. After passing a recent examination with flying colors, he has high hope of being promoted to probationary inspector.

YAN (Tony Leung) is a police mole in the Triads. Recruited before he even graduated from the police academy, he was initiated into the Triads as a teenaged underling. During his decade as an undercover, he has been convicted eight times of causing bodily harm to others, jailed twice, and sentenced to compulsory psychological counseling. As a Red Pole, or enforcer, his immediate boss is none other than Sam.

Leading parallel lives, Ming and Yan are feeling increasingly trapped in their false surroundings. Wobbling in the inferno between the living and the dead, they are desperate to find a way out. Ming would like to sever all ties with his illegal past and become a real cop. To do so would mean the elimination of Sam. Yan is sick and tired of chopping people up in the name of justice, and is striving to regain his real identity. Only one person can help him: SUPERINTENDENT WONG (Anthony Wong), the man who recruited him as an undercover.

Their curious paths finally cross each other one fateful evening. During a police attempt to topple Sam's illegal operations, both sides realize there's a mole amongst themselves. A series of cat-and-mouse chases ensue, as each side is competing to uncover their mole first. To make things even more chaotic, Ming is finally promoted to probationary inspector and is transferred to Internal Affairs. His first assignment is to uncover Sam's mole in the police department…

The Character

MING (Andy Lau) was inducted into triad when he was 18. On the command of his Triad boss SAM, he became an undercover in the police. With the help of Sam who tips him off with intelligence of his Triad rivals, he has become a police sergeant in a decade. When he is promoted and transferred to the Internal Affairs, he decided to sever all ties with his illegal past and become a real cop. His first mission is to kick off his barrier Sam. YAN (Tony Leung) is a police mole in the Triads. Recruited before he even graduated from the police academy, he was initiated into the Triads as a teenaged underling. After a decade, he is tired to be an undercover and sentenced to compulsory psychological counseling. As he strives to regain his real identity, the sudden dead of his superior WONG frustrates him. After that, he starts a new plan to get back his own identity. (*Shawn Yu as young Yan)

Superintendent WONG (Anthony Wong), who recruits YAN as an undercover, is the only one man who knows the real identity of Yan. As Yan helped him to finish a lot of cases in the past decade, their relationship is so close like father and son. He sends Yan to investigate Sam's triad group. In the crucial moment, he even sacrifices his life to save Yan.

SAM (Eric Tsang) is the head of the triad and controls the smuggling of drug in the district. He appoints his lieutenant MING as an undercover in the police in order to get the fresh news from the police. After the failure in a drug deal, he realizes there is a mole in his group. He requests MING to find him. Ironically, Ming whom he believed most betrays him at last.

B (Lam Ka Tung) is Ming's man in the CIB. Regarding Ming as his idol, B remains loyal to him, and willing to work for him in the after hours. It is until Sam's death that Ming realizes B is actually his shadow, another mole in the police force who knows his past. At the end, B is ironically killed by his idol.

A silly but righteous triad member, Keung (Chapman To)'s loyalty to his best friend Yan is proven when he covers up for Yan's absence during Sam's mole hunt. Keung's life comes to a tragic end as he's shot by the police, because of his best friend.

Dr. Lee (Kelly Chen) is a novice psychiatrist whose patients span from all walks of life, yet she is attached to one in particular: the self-destructive triad member Yan. Though the affection is mutual, neither of them dares to take that leap of faith. Dr. Lee has become the only person who knows Yan's true identity.

A novelist and Ming's fiance, Mary (Sammi Cheng) may be tough on the outside, but is very dependent on the inside. She firmly believes in the integrity of her future husband, and knows how much he loves her. She has become a catalyst for Ming to sever all ties with his triad past.

May (Elva Hsiao) was Yan's girlfriend during his academy years. Later, Yan was forced to break up this relationship for the undercover task. They never saw each other again until one fateful day. With a child on her side now, May handles the scene at ease, trying hard not to show her emotions boiling inside. Yan never knows that he is the father of the child.
