故 事 簡 介

故 事 內 容 講 述 美 國 洛 杉 磯 警 方 卡 達 ( 傑 士 德 加 飾 演 ) 來 到 香 港 本 想 輕 輕 鬆 鬆 放 大 假 ， 見 識 一 下 這 個 「 東 方 之 珠 」 。 好 朋 友 香 港 警 察 李 ( 成 龍 飾 演 ) 一 盡 地 主 之 誼 ， 帶 卡 達 見 識 香 港 地 道 的 風 景 特 色 。

正 當 他 們 享 受 著 這 個 假 期 時 ， 美 國 駐 港 領 事 館 遭 炸 彈 襲 擊 ， 炸 死 兩 名 正 在 調 查 一 宗 涉 及 數 億 美 元 的 偽 鈔 走 私 集 團 的 海 關 調 查 員 。

香 港 警 察 懷 疑 這 宗 走 私 案 之 幕 後 主 腦 為 黑 社 會 集 團 的 領 導 人 鄧 力 奇 ( 尊 龍 飾 演 ) 。 鄧 力 奇 為 人 陰 險 奸 狡 ， 而 他 所 控 制 的 黑 社 會 集 團 在 香 港 擁 有 最 強 大 的 勢 力 。 李 及 卡 達 各 自 奉 上 頭 之 命 追 查 此 案 ， 緝 拿 兇 徒 歸 案 。 李 之 父 親 曾 經 是 香 港 警 察 ， 而 力 奇 與 李 父 之 死 有 直 接 的 關 係 ， 所 以 李 誓 要 將 他 繩 之 於 法 。

經 過 幾 齣 十 分 賣 座 的 電 影 ， 成 龍 不 單 是 亞 洲 的 巨 星 ， 更 成 功 地 打 入 美 國 市 場 。

他 在 美 國 的 人 氣 不 斷 上 升 ， 更 成 為 美 國 漫 畫 ， 每 逢 周 末 播 放 的 卡 通 、 及 新 力 遊 戲 機 （ Play Station ） 主 角 人 物 。

成 龍 出 生 於 一 九 五 四 年 ， 七 十 年 代 ， 他 憑 ＜ 醉 拳 ＞ 奠 定 其 影 壇 地 位 ， 隨 後 他 執 導 的 首 齣 電 影 ＜ 師 弟 出 馬 ＞ ， 嘗 試 把 喜 劇 元 素 與 動 作 揉 合 ， 為 功 夫 電 影 寫 上 新 的 一 頁 。 九 十 年 代 ， 成 龍 成 功 地 打 進 荷 里 活 ， 演 出 了 多 齣 荷 里 活 電 影 。 是 香 港 少 有 的 多 才 多 藝 的 藝 人 ， 他 不 但 是 演 員 、 更 是 導 演 及 監 製 。

Synopsis:

The fastest hands in the East reteams with the biggest mouth in the West in Rush Hour 2, the highly-anticipated sequel to the 1998 blockbuster action-comedy that grossed over $250 million worldwide.

Rush Hour 2 begins with Chief Inspector Lee (Jackie Chan) of the Hong Kong Police and LAPD detective James Carter (Chris Tucker) arriving in Hong Kong for a vacation. Armed with his Chinese-English dictionary, Cater is looking forward to a much-needed vacation and to sampling some of the city's many exotic delights. But Lee, the ever-dedicated policeman, continues with his duties, frustrating Carter.

No sooner do they arrive, then they are confronted with the biggest case of their careers - a bomb has exploded in the American Embassy, killing two U.S. Customs agents who had been investigating a money smuggling ring that is producing and shipping millions in "superbills", high-grade counterfeit U.S. $100 bills.

The Hong Kong police suspect the chief architect behind the blast is Ricky Tan (John Lone), the elegant and cunning head of the Fu-Cang-Long Triad, the deadliest gang in Hong Kong. Inspector Lee is assigned to crack the case, much to the chagrin of Carter. Carter is caught up in the events against his will and feels his vacation plans slipping away. For Lee the case is personal - Ricky Tan was once his father's partner on the Hong Kong Police force and played a direct role in his father's death.

With the Hong Kong and U.S. authorities fighting over jurisdiction of the case, Lee and a reluctant Carter set off on their own to track down Tan. But this time it's Detective Carter who is the fish-out-of-water, and Lee now has the opportunity to teach him some lessons on his home turf (as Lee tells Carter in his not-so-perfect English, "In Hong Kong, I am Michael Jackson, you are Toto"). But in his own inimitable way, the fast-talking Carter has a few things to teach the locals as well!

As Lee and Carter lead a fast-paced pursuit of Ricky Tan and his gang, trying to locate the priceless plates used to print the counterfeit bills, they wreak havoc through a variety of Hong Kong locales, including a karaoke bar - where Carter teaches the gangster clientele how to sing the definitive version of the classic "Don't stop 'till you get enough" - the Heaven on Earth massage parior and a party on Tan's yacht cruising the waters of scenic Victoria harbor.

Along the way they must contend with Tan's beautiful and deadly henchwoman Hu Li (Zhang Ziyi, who captivated audiences with her role as Jen Yu on the Academy Award-winning epic, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon), billionaire hotel owner and key Ricky Tan associate Steven Reign (legendary actor/comedian Alan King) and the alluring, mysterious and seemingly Isabella Molina (Roselyn Sanchez), who may be something more than she seems.

The action returns Stateside for a brief detour through Los Angeles before climaxing in a spectacular, action-filled finale at the opening night of the Red Dragon Hotel and Casino on Las Vegas Strip.

Jackie Chan

As The Hollywood Reporter put it in their May 6, 1997 issue honoring Chan's achievements: "The Master is coming to Hollywood. Or, rather, Hollywood is coming to the Master."

International recognition of Chan's talents has come in response to a career that is resolutely home-grown. Over the last two decades Jackie Chan has become, in the words of Time Magazine's Richard Corliss, "the world's most popular movie star" by making films his way for his own adoring public in Asia's lively, unruly, surprising film capitol, Hong Kong.

Despite recent events in Hong Kong, Jackie Chan Fan Clubs all over the world still send pilgrims to the sets of his films. Chan often writes, directs and produces projects using equipment rented from companies he created to improve the technical quality of Hong Kong filmmaking. In addition, stuntmen who belong to the Jackie Chan Stuntmen's Association work in the films, as do actors supplied by his own casting and modeling agency.

Inspired by great film clowns like Buster Keaton and Harold Lloyd, Chan has invented a unique style of film combining humor and death-defying stunts which he has carried to extravagant heights that American films are only now attempting.

A superb martial artist and acrobat, Chan has built his legend by putting his life on the line for his movies. In the montage of outtakes which typically ends his films, fans see the proof that Jackie Chan is still his own most amazing special effect.

Actor/Comedian Chris Tucker, star of the box office hits Rush Hour and Money Talks, is one of Hollywood's fastest rising stars. Commanding major mega-dollars per film, Chris Tucker is one of the funniest comics around. His voice and animated face are impressed upon the American psyche.

Following Rush Hour 2 (the original grossed over $300 million worldwide), Tucker will star in the highly anticipated Mr. President, in which he plays the President of the United States.

Zhang Ziyi

Born in 1979 in Beijing City, Zhang Ziyi enrolled in the Performing Arts Faculty, of the prestigious China Central Drama College in 1997. A year before her graduation in the fall 1998, she was offered the lead role in The Road Home directed by the renowned director Zhang Yi-mou. She starred as a girl in the 50's living in a remote village fighting for the freedom of love. The Road Home (1998), which went on to win the Grand Jury Silver Bear at the 50th 2000 Berlin Film Festival.

Zhang is brought up in a middle class family in Beijing. Her father is a senior accountant; mother is a housewife, and she has an elder brother. When she was 11 years old, she passed the entrance examination of the secondary school affiliated with the Beijing Dancing College. She also won an award in the National Young Dancer competition.

Following her breakthrough role in The Road Home, Zhang Ziyi delivered brilliant performances in other director's films, including Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (Dir: Ang Lee, 2000), The Legend Of Zu (Tsui Hark, 2000).

In Ang Lee's Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Zhang plays May Wong, an aristocrat's daughter who takes on a disguise as the country's most wanted criminal. Zhang feels very fortunate to have the opportunity to work with Ang Lee, Chow Yun-fat, Michelle Yeoh and Cahng Chen in her second film.
