【 本 報 訊 】 一 所 位 於 偏 遠 郊 區 的 古 老 英 國 私 立 寄 宿 學 校 ， 兩 星 期 前 四 名 學 生 於 假 期 後 神 秘 失 蹤 ， 遍 尋 不 獲 。 直 至 昨 日 黃 昏 ， 其 中 一 名 失 蹤 女 學 生 突 然 在 校 內 報 警 求 助 ， 大 批 警 員 接 報 後 立 即 趕 到 現 場 。 因 週 末 關 係 ， 校 內 並 沒 有 造 成 多 大 混 亂 。 被 發 現 失 蹤 女 學 生 麗 斯 ( 十 五 歲 ) ， 於 兩 星 期 前 與 三 名 同 學 到 威 爾 斯 渡 長 週 末 ， 但 假 期 結 束 後 卻 一 直 未 有 回 校 。 三 名 失 蹤 者 包 括 美 國 著 名 搖 滾 樂 手 施 提 夫 之 子 施 米 奇 及 其 好 友 捷 夫 、 學 校 校 花 芬 琪 。 麗 莎 被 發 現 時 ， 身 上 染 有 血 跡 、 衣 衫 不 整 、 神 情 呆 滯 ， 顯 然 精 神 上 受 到 極 大 衝 擊 。 至 於 其 餘 三 位 失 蹤 者 生 死 依 然 未 卜 。 麗 斯 現 正 接 受 警 方 心 理 醫 生 夏 醫 生 治 療 ， 而 另 一 方 面 ， 警 方 亦 成 立 調 查 小 組 專 責 這 宗 離 奇 失 蹤 案 。

【 本 報 訊 】 轟 動 英 國 校 園 的 失 蹤 案 又 有 驚 人 發 現 ， 警 方 心 理 醫 生 夏 醫 生 根 據 麗 斯 的 憶 述 ， 終 於 在 離 校 不 遠 的 森 林 裡 發 現 一 個 戰 時 留 下 的 地 洞 。 警 方 在 洞 內 發 現 三 名 失 蹤 者 屍 體 ， 經 法 醫 官 証 實 已 死 去 約 一 星 期 。 警 方 還 拘 捕 了 案 中 一 嫌 疑 犯 ─ 死 者 同 班 同 學 戴 馬 田 。 馬 田 有 不 在 場 證 據 ， 而 他 的 口 供 亦 與 麗 斯 的 不 符 。 在 沒 有 充 足 理 據 下 ， 警 方 只 把 馬 田 扣 留 了 四 十 八 小 時 便 將 他 釋 放 。

Synopsis

Four young students, two girls and two boys, go missing from an exclusive English school. Only Liz (Thora Birch) survives the ordeal but as she relives the experience of being trapped for two weeks in a dark, underground bunker, it soon becomes clear that she is so traumatized by whatever happened down there that she can no longer sort fact from fiction. Three people have died in horrible circumstances. But what really happened in the hole?

It's a question to which Dr Philippa Horwood (Embeth Davidtz), the psychologist working with the police, is determined to find the answer. Under her gentle counseling, Liz casts her mind back two weeks to when she was an innocent schoolgirl? When Liz finishes her story, it obvious to Philippa that the girl before her is deeply traumatized, unable to face up to the awful reality of her friends' fate. The police, meanwhile, have arrested Martin (Daniel Brocklebank) who suggested them to go to the hole and was in love with Liz. In the interrogation room, he is aloof and arrogant.

As he begins his version of events, a terrible truth begins to emerge, a truth that will expose the full horror of an obsessive love, a love that will stop at nothing to be fulfilled?

Thora Birch is still in her teens but is already an international star known for her precious talent and unswerving taste when it comes to choose film roles. Most recently, she attracted rave reviews for her outstanding performances in the multi-Oscar-winning international hit <AMERICAN BEAUTY>, for which she received a BAFTA Best Supporting Actress nomination. The film propelled her onto the A-list and she is soon to be seen in two high-profiles films. First is the fantasy adventure <DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS> alongside Jeremy Irons. Then comes Terry Zwigoff's <GHOST WORLD>, produced by John Malkovich's.
