序 幕 發 生 在 香 港 ， 重 案 組 督 察 Sam 聯 同 一 眾 特 警 ， 以 瞬 雷 手 法 ， 搗 破 了 跨 國 犯 罪 組 織 的 巢 穴 ， 成 功 瓦 解 了 組 織 在 東 南 亞 的 勢 力 ， 並 把 其 中 一 名 首 腦 Night 捸 捕 。

Night 在 法 庭 上 被 判 多 項 罪 名 ， Sam 的 未 婚 妻 Ann 是 主 控 官 ， 在 庭 上 力 証 Night 罪 無 可 恕 ， 但 由 於 Night 的 律 師 團 十 分 強 悍 ， 多 項 重 罪 均 無 法 告 入 ， 只 能 以 協 助 偷 運 人 蛇 罪 將 Night 判 了 三 年 監 ， Night 心 深 不 忿 ， 他 決 定 不 放 過 這 一 對 愛 人 ， 而 他 的 意 願 ， 也 在 下 一 次 律 師 探 訪 中 傳 遞 了 出 去 ， 他 要 他 的 哥 哥 Day ， 好 好 地 為 他 策 劃 一 個 報 復 行 動 。

Ann 雖 然 未 能 把 Night 判 以 應 得 的 罪 名 ， 但 卻 以 為 一 切 已 成 過 去 ， 便 和 Sam 到 法 國 遊 玩 ， 誰 知 他 們 的 一 舉 一 動 ， 每 刻 的 歡 笑 和 恩 愛 過 程 ， 全 被 人 暗 中 窺 視 ， 原 來 Day 派 中 的 殺 手 ， 正 伺 機 暗 殺 二 人 ， 但 在 監 視 的 過 程 中 ， 殺 手 選 擇 了 在 巴 黎 購 物 中 心 內 ， 在 Sam 的 面 前 以 來 福 槍 射 殺 正 在 搭 乘 子 彈 電 梯 的 Ann ， 卻 放 過 了 Sam … …

Story Outline

The setting is Hong Kong, where Sam and his team are members of a Serious Crime Unit in the District Crime Squad, conducting a crackdown on an international crime organization trafficking in the human cargo of illegal immigrants. The team successfully dissolves the group and destroys its power in Southeast Asia. They arrest one of the group's leaders, Night.

At the court, Night is charged with several offences and is being prosecuted by Sam's fiancee, Ann. Ann tries her best to convict Night for all the crimes he committed. However, the defense lawyer is tough and manipulative and finally, Night is convicted on only one of the charges in human smuggling and sentenced to three years imprisonment. Night is unrepentant and vows to take his revenge and destroy the couple one day. During the lawyer's visit, Night relays this message to his brother, Day, and asks Day to carry out the revenge for him.

Although Ann failed to convict Night on the crimes he committed, she now puts the whole thing behind her. Ann and Sam take a trip to Paris, unaware that while having a good time their every move is watched closely by an assassin sent by Day. The assassin monitors the couple day and night, waiting for the right moment to carry out her mission, Finally, at a lift in a shopping mall, she shoots Ann with a rifle but leaves Sam unhurt...
