Synopsis
At the end of the Yuan Dynasty, when Mongolian was ruling all of the Chinese Continent, the Mongolians, the Hans, and the Koryo (ancient Korean) migrants were going through racial conflicts while experiencing the strife of local baron's rivalry.
Jinha (Shin Hyun Joon 申 鉉 濬), son of a Koryo migrant and Sullie (Kim Hee Sun 金 喜 善), illegitimate daughter of a Mongolian commander become close friends who rely on each other. Against their wills, Sullie's father, Taruga takes her with him to Shao Xing (紹 興) right after her mother's death. After some time, Kwakjung, Jinha's uncle confesses the secret of his parent's death and his birth when he is on the verge of death. And Jinha leaves for Shao Xing when Kwakjung dies.
Jinha finally meets Sullie but her father wants to kill him for his Bichun Secret Arts (飛 天 神 記), the strongest martial secret. Nevertheless it can't stop them from heading for a hiding place to love each other. Caught by Junkwang and Taruga, Jinha is shot by arrows and fall from a cliff. Miraculously brought back to life, Jinha is reborn as Jahalang, a hired assassin. He kills Taruga and brings chaos to Junkwang's house. There he reencounters Sullie, who is now Junkwang's wife. A deep breach of the years is between them...
